Tree relocation truck

How cool is this!

A truck mounted tree spade is used to dig out the root ball and tree, lifting and tipping each tree on the back of the truck for safe transfer to its new place.

Here is the first tree to make the move.

The tree relocation team worked with arborists, the City of Casey, National Trust and Residents, Ratepayers and Buddies of Berwick Hamlet to identify seven trees that could viably be relocated.
